Cole Grinnell-Bass Guitar
Cole has been teaching and playing bass in the Boston area for almost twenty years. He has been a mainstay in the funk, R&B and blues band the Part Time Lovers since the early 90’s serving as bassist, composer and musical director. His composing and arranging can be heard on the Part Time Lovers recording “Down for the Ride” as well as their self-titled debut CD. Cole can also be heard on the debut CD from the Jim Kelly Band “Steering Wheel”, and the debut recording from long time musical companion and Part Time Lovers drummer Brian Kelley called “Ketchup and Rivets”. Prior to joining the Hipshot band in the spring of 2009 Cole was busy performing jazz and R&B on the dinner cruise ship the Odyssey with the Brian Kelley Band and freelancing in and around the Boston area.
